Thank you for the list, are there other beans that can be used ? My husband and I are going to try to go sugar free, and enjoys porridge for breakfast no sugar but he has flaxseed, so good to see that On the list
Hi Alex. I’m happy that you found this useful. Most beans are healthy, even on a low sugar diet. They have a higher carb content but they also have a lot of fiber. This means it will help you to feel full for long, and you won’t have a drastic rise in your blood sugar levels. It’s a more steady energy source. For the porridge, pumpkin porridge is typically a good low(er) carb option. I sometimes also blend about 1/2 cup of oatmeal with some almonds and boil with milk, vanilla, and cinnamon. Top that with some berries and maybe a drizzle of agave, with a side 2 boiled eggs, and you got a breakfast that’s low in carbs but hits every checkpoint. Let me know if you have any other questions. Cheers!
