Top 10 Low Carb Cocktails
The keto diet is a dream for a lot of people. I mean, cheesy pizza bites, bacon crisps, guilt-free desserts, and low carb cocktails? It may come as a surprise that you can drink alcohol on a low carb diet, but it’s true. You can. It’s amazing.
HOWEVER.
While you CAN consume some types of alcohol due to their low carb nature, it does require some energy to burn and it can slow down your weight loss goals. Please consume in moderation.
Vodka, rum, tequila, whiskey, brandy and dry martinis are pure spirits that contain 0 carbs. All brands are different so it’s best if you check labels for yourself.
There are some alcoholic drinks that you should definitely avoid though so let’s look at those real quick.
- Beer. There are few low carb options, but the fast-digesting carbs make it difficult to achieve weight loss goals. Additionally, it’s not good for your blood sugar levels if that’s a concern you have.
- Mixed drinks with sugar, soda and, fruit juices, have more sugar which means more carbs.
- Wine coolers such as Smirnoff Ice, etc. They contain a lot of sugar so it’s best to avoid these as well.
Ok enough of that. Where are the cocktails?!?
Right here.
